Our Story

Beyond the Baobab was born out of a deep passion for Botswana’s untamed wilderness and a desire to share it with travelers who seek more than just a safari—they seek an experience that connects them to the heart of Africa. As a husband-and-wife team living in Botswana, we don’t just sell safaris; we live them.

Having spent years exploring this magnificent country, from the lush waterways of the Okavango Delta to the vast, elephant-rich landscapes of Chobe National Park, we’ve developed an intimate understanding of its rhythms, its people, and its wildlife. Every journey we design is inspired by our own adventures, ensuring that our guests receive an experience that is personal, immersive, and truly unforgettable.

Unlike agencies based overseas, we are on the ground, experiencing Botswana’s magic every day. We personally visit lodges, test out new safari routes, and build strong relationships with lodge owners, guides, and conservationists. This means that when we recommend an itinerary, it’s because we’ve lived it, felt it, and know it’s extraordinary.

Beyond just crafting safaris, we want our guests to feel Botswana—to wake up to the distant roar of a lion, to sip coffee while watching elephants wade through the floodplains, and to sit by the campfire under a sky ablaze with stars, listening to the stories of the bush.
